Thanks to all his hard work...
On Friday it was announced that our founder and Chairman Al Gore had won the Nobel Peace prize for his tireless efforts to solve the global climate crisis. The announcement has inspired many concerned citizens, including members of the local community who came by our offices to show their support for Al Gore.
If you haven't already, I urge you to join our effort by signing the pledge. Already signed the pledge? Then urge a friend to sign! It's critical that people across the country and around the world take action now on climate change.
We think this important award is well-deserved and hope it will mobilize millions to demand action from our leaders on the global warming crisis. Join us - and, like our founder, do something each day to persuade others to join too. We can solve this together.

Shout Out: NWF Rally and Announcement
The Alliance wants to give a quick shout out to our friends at the National Wildlife Federation. They are holding a rally on Friday, July 27th, at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. Here is what's happening:
NWF, along with L.A. City Council’s Eric Garcetti and Ed Reyes, and comedian/social activist Dick Gregory are using the rally to put the spotlight on how global warming affects everyone, especially low-income Americans in all communities. In addition, Gregory will announce that he is walking from Los Angeles to Washington, DC -- a more than 3,000 miles trek to help and challenge people to take action.
The National Wildlife Federation will be taking their education campaign to five major cities to help confront global warming at the community and municipal level -- including Los Angeles Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA; Atlanta, GA; and Washington, DC.
